Headshot of Kirk RobinsonPortrait of Kirk Robinson

After a 31-year career which culminated in my role as Ingram Micro’s EVP and President North America, I made the decision to retire from my corporate job to spend more quality time with my family.

When I think back on my professional experience – which comprised leadership roles across sales, marketing, business intelligence, and vendor management – I am as grateful today as I was throughout my career for all the lessons I learned, and the countless mentors who helped me grow from them.

Of all the business successes I’ve achieved (they’re on my LinkedIn profile if you’re interested) the thing I’m most proud of, and am still motivated by, was my ability to mentor and grow other leaders.

I’m proud that my impact has extended beyond corporate achievements. I was renowned for my authentic leadership and dedication to partner success. My approachability and strategic insight earned me the 2024 Channel Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing my significant contributions to the IT channel ecosystem. My legacy is marked by my ability to navigate complex industry landscapes, drive transformative initiatives, and inspire those around me to embrace change and pursue excellence.

I strongly believe that leading at the highest level is about serving those you lead. It’s the ability to understand the unique attributes, strengths, and growth opportunities of your team, collectively and individually, and position them for success against your common business objectives. It’s establishing clear and relevant goals and inspiring your team to achieve them. It’s coaching a mindset.

It’s also knowing your own strengths, accepting your limitations, and empowering your team to do the same.
If you want to challenge yourself to be the best leader you can be, I invite you to work alongside me and “get comfortable being uncomfortable” as we find ways to help you reach your potential as an authentic leader.
