After 31 years at Ingram Micro, I’ve closed a major chapter in my professional life—one filled with challenge, growth, and countless opportunities. I started at Ingram in an entry-level sales role, driven by a relentless work ethic that I learned from my dad, and a passion to learn and grow. Over the years, I held roles in sales, marketing, business intelligence and vendor management, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President and President of North America.
It was a career that tested and taught me in equal measure. I had the privilege of leading high-performing teams, navigating global markets, and making decisions that shaped the trajectory of a multi-billion-dollar business.
Before any of that, though, I had to make the decision of whether I wanted to be in people leadership in the first place. I was making good money as an individual contributor, having fun consulting with customers, and exceeding my sales quotas. Then I realized I had a yet-unfulfilled obligation to myself, and my company—to live up to my full potential. So, I made the decision to get out of my comfort zone, made the move to management, and started my long journey of learning how to be the best leader I could be.
Of all the things I cherish about my leadership journey, the most rewarding is the privilege of being able to help others grow. Leading teams, mentoring individuals, coaching rising leaders, and seeing people achieve goals they never thought possible became my greatest joy.
That’s what led me here—to KPR Executive Coaching.
Why I Made the Leap
After retiring from Ingram, I didn’t feel like I was done. I still have more to give. Over the years, I’ve learned that the greatest impact we can make isn’t just through the results we drive, but through the people we inspire and help to grow. I wanted to take my leadership experience, strategic insights, and lessons learned from decades in the C-suite and apply them to something more personal, focused, and fulfilling.
At KPR Executive Coaching, my mission is simple: to help business leaders unlock their full potential and achieve more than they thought possible.
Lessons Worth Sharing
In a fast-moving business world, success isn’t just about hard skills or market timing. It’s about mindset. It’s about grit. It’s about the ability to lead with authenticity, clarity, and conviction. At Ingram, I saw firsthand how the most effective leaders weren’t the loudest or flashiest—they were the ones who stayed grounded, pushed through adversity, and brought others along with them.
Those are the kinds of leaders I want to help shape through my coaching practice.
